Together, these data suggest that modulation of PPARb/d or FGF21 could have a therapeutic effect in hepatic steatosis, by regulating the VLDLR levels.

The study, which results were recently published in Molecular Metabolism, were conducted in collaboration with CIBERDEM researchers from several institutions, including Angela M. Valverde (IIBM UAM-CSIC), Joan Carles Escolà-Gil and Francisco Blanco-Vaca (Hospital Sant Pau) among others, as well as researchers from CIBEROBN group of Francesc Villarroya (UB), and other groups led by Walter Wahli and Reza Zali.

Source: SINC

A new study by Manuel Vázquez Carrera, researcher at the Spanish Biomedical Research Centre in Network for Diabetes and Associated Metabolic Disorders (CIBERDEM) and the University of Barcelona, allowed discovering new factors involved in the development of non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD), the most common liver disorder which incidence has reached epidemic proportions in the …

[3
15
post-22304","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-actualidad-en-la-salud","tag-casalud","cat-3-id","has_thumb
["GET
