The membrane, named <strong><em>NanoSkin<\/em>, obtained the second place of the Santander Award for Business Innovation 2019<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>The project <strong>uses two technologies: one for the membrane itself and another to encapsulate the curcumin in nanoparticles<\/strong>. They received the award in the original idea category, from the hands of UNAM Rector Enrique Graue Wiechers.<\/p>\n<p><em>NanoSkin<\/em> highlighted in the contest, which this year received 2,643 projects from students from public and private universities throughout the country.<\/p>\n<p>The <strong>idea of \u200b\u200bthis patch began as a thesis project, and now its developers are about to start the clinical stage<\/strong>. \u201c<em>UNAM gives us all the tools to prepare in an excellent way. The opportunities are there; we just have to look for them.
