THIS INITIATIVE aims to reinforce and accelerate genomics research capacity in Mexico.
To reach this objective we have established a partnership with the Broad Institute of MIT and Harvard University and the National Institute of Genomic Medicine of Mexico.

The initiative is based on four pillars:
The initiative is based on four pillars:
1. PROMOTING AND FINANCING genetic basis research of certain diseases -such as type 2 diabetes mellitus and various types of cancer- in order to generate preventive, diagnostic and therapeutic elements available to the entire population.
2. HUMAN RESOURCES CUTTING-EDGE TRAINING through an exchange program for young Mexican researchers.
3. INTEGRATION OF A NATIONAL MULTIDISCIPLINARY NETWORK of genomic medicine researchers.
4. TRAINING ACADEMIC STAFF expert in genomics, able to train new generations of health professionals in Mexico.
