• 1-APROLAM-la-app-que-apoya-a-la-lactancia-materna-int1The Association for Breastfeeding (APROLAM) jointly with the Center for Technology and Digital Innovation Carso and supported by the Carlos Slim Foundation developed this useful application for iOS and Android mobile devices.

Breastfeeding is essential in the development and growth of babies. It is during this phase that the newborn receives protection through maternal milk, and there is no substitute that provides all the benefits resulting from this activity. For a better experience during breastfeeding, APROLAM in conjunction with the Center for Technology and Digital Innovation Carso and supported by the Carlos Slim Foundation developed a useful application for iOS and Android mobile devices, which provides important information, clarifies and dispels all the myths surrounding this important link between mother and child.

What are the benefits of breastfeeding for the baby and for the mother?

This app answers both questions and shares tips, such as proper nutrition and how to improve the quality of nutrients ingested by the baby, how to prepare for breastfeeding, hygiene best practices to avoid any risk, and how to solve some of the common problems women face during this period.

This app has 10,000 downloads, and its latest update — version 1.1 — includes improvements, such as being more attractive and information better structured to allow users easier reading. Furthermore, the ‘favorites’ feature allows saving preferred tips to access them easily, and it can be shared on social networks and through SMS messaging.
