The LXVIII Annual Meeting of Public Health was hosted from 19 to 22 November in Yucatan. Renowned national and international experts were involved in the event, giving keynotes to address current issues of epidemiology, as well as leading-edge vaccination updates.
The event was organized by the Mexican Society of Public Health (SMSP), A.C., headed by the Society’s President, Dr. Silvia G. Roldan Fernandez.
Carlos Slim Foundation participated in this important event with an interactive stand that included a digital classroom, where were conducted trainings on health apps operation, demonstrations of the Electronic Immunization Record created by the foundation, and visits to the CLIKISalud.net web portal.
The stand also featured touch screens where visitors could do puzzles to interact with Manuales Tu Salud (Your Health Handbooks) published by the Foundation.
In the end, visitors were able to receive in their personal e-mail addresses the information they were most interested about on various health topics, through Poken.
Angel Dehesa, presenter of Salud de Uno (One’s Health) video-capsules, introduced in the event all the capsules published in 2014 on the portal CLIKISalud.net.
The event was attended by the General Director of the Carlos Slim Foundation, Dr. Roberto Tapia Conyer; Director of Global Solutions, Dr. Miguel Betancourt Cravioto; and Director of Operational Solutions, Dr. Hector Gallardo Rincon.
